This policy applies to Chic Layered Studio orders shipped within the United States.
Returns
Chic Layered Studio accepts eligible returns for both defective and non-defective products. Standard, non-personalized products may be returned by mail within 30 days after delivery unless noted otherwise on the product page.
Exchanges
Chic Layered Studio accepts exchanges for eligible products. Contact Chic Layered Studio before sending an item back so we can confirm eligibility and provide return instructions.
Product condition
Returned and exchanged items must be new, unused, undamaged, complete, and returned with included hardware, packaging, instructions, and accessories where applicable.
Return authorization
Contact Chic Layered Studio before returning or exchanging any item. Include the order number, product name, reason for the return or exchange, and photos when the issue involves fit, damage, defect, or an incorrect item. Returns sent without prior contact may be delayed or refused.
Return shipping and labels
Returns are handled by mail. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and for purchasing or providing the return shipping label unless Chic Layered Studio gives different written instructions for a confirmed defect, damage, incorrect item, or warranty issue.
Restocking fees
Chic Layered Studio does not charge restocking fees for approved returns or exchanges.
Personalized products
Personalized, custom, or made-to-order products are generally not returnable unless they arrive defective, damaged, or incorrect. This protects custom work that cannot reasonably be resold.
Compatibility errors
Smart-display mounts are designed for specific device models and generations. Customers should confirm their exact device before ordering. If the wrong model is ordered and the product page clearly listed compatibility, the item may be treated as a customer-error return and return shipping will be the customer’s responsibility.
Refund timing
Approved refunds are processed within 3 days after the returned item is received and inspected. Once a refund is issued, the payment provider may require additional time to post the credit to the original payment method.
Original shipping charges
Original shipping charges are generally not refundable for customer-choice or compatibility-error returns. If Chic Layered Studio confirms that the product was defective, incorrect, or damaged in transit, original shipping charges will be reviewed as part of the resolution.
Damaged or defective items
For damaged, defective, or warranty-related items, contact Chic Layered Studio within 30 days after delivery with the order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos of the product, packaging, shipping label, and any affected hardware or parts.
Cancellations
Cancellation requests should be sent as soon as possible. Orders may be cancellable before production begins or before shipment, but custom or made-to-order work may not be cancellable once production has started.
